Bee Disease Insurance & Liability Insurance
BDI compensates beekeepers for equipment losses where their bees have to be destroyed or treated under the Bees Act 1980 and The Bee Diseases and Pests Control (England) Order 2006
Public & Product Liability insurance which relates to beekeeping activities in the UK (e.g. swarm collection) and has a £10,000,000 limit of liability.

Categories of membership

Full membership £35
BBKA membership
Access to all Association organised events
Advice from seasoned beekeepers including via WhatsApp
Practical and theory training including apiary demonstration sessions
Winter programme of talks and workshops given by guest speakers
Partner £24
This is for spouses and partners living at the same address as a BBKA registered member. It includes Public Liability Insurance for beekeeping activities.
Friend £13
This category is for those who don't keep bees, or for full members of other divisions. Friends are welcome to attend EBKA meetings and events.
Junior £16
For persons under the age of 18 in conjunction with their parent, carer or guardian having 'full' membership of EBKA. Includes Bee Disease Insurance.
BeeBase
It is now a requirement under our rules of membership to register online with the National Bee Unit (NBU) if you have bees. Registration can be done here.
